Police, in conjunction with ACC and other road safety partners, announced a national Holiday Haiku competition based on the road safety message “check your speed”.

About 20% of drivers would confess to being given a speeding fine or other charges before their policy comes up for renewal, the IAG Safety Insights Monitor shows.

UK supercar maker McLaren Automotive has offered its first international internship to a student who bears the company’s famous last name.
University of Auckland mechatronics engineering student Andrew McLaren, who is no relation to the company’s founders, will spend nine weeks at the McLaren Technology Centre in England.
